Our Mission
DJD Aerospace began in October 2002. Since then it's works have won many awards. The simple idea that things can be made better is the driving force behind our work. The advancement of Hybrid Rocket Propulsion is our goal. The last motor we tested and redesigned had an increased maintained thrust by a factor of 70%.
The newest goal is not only to improve the thrust of many motors we currently have, but to break the altitude record for a Hybrid Rocket, which currently stands at 10,127 feet. It will be a difficult and long process but the end result will be amazing. Especially because the proposed launch date is in the summer of 2002, work must begin immediately. The Rocket will be very similar to Aerocon System's 38 Special. The rocket will be modified to hold a larger nitrous tank and a larger combustion chamber. The rocket will have a fiberglass electronics bay, holding an R-DAS with the GPS and Transmitter boards supplying real time telemetry of the flight.
I am currently purchasing the materials needed for construction on a controllable launch tower. The Launch towers azimuth angle and rotation control with high torque motors. The tower will be 6 feet tall and be made specifically for the altitude attempt
